yes i know that. however in pop-its (or whatever you call them ) they use the same stuff exept made with dilluted ammonia. then they drop little rocks into the liquid mixture and they get coated. i am aware that using pure ammonia to make this is extremely dangerous and i have done it (with impure ammonia). i wanted to make my own pop-its one day around 4th of july.

im pretty sure of my info on this because i love anything htat goes bang ( or catches on fire) and i spent quite a while researdhing it last year.. also i believe that it is ammonia tri-iodide

Dude, amonia is amonia. The NI3 reaction will produce the same product - albeit almost certainly with different yeilds - no matter what concentration of amonium water you use, or anhydrous amonia gas for that matter. The same product is the same product, period, and thus will have the same sensitivity.

And you've admitted that NI3 is too sensitive to handle, yet you think that it'd be possible to ship it?

And why is everyone facinated by NI3? NBr3 would be much more stable (Br is smaller than I), and cheaper to make (I can obtain Br for a bit more than 3$/mol (80g), whereas I would cost me about 60$/mol (130g) IIRC the cost of I-tincture correctly, although Edison's accounts of it have it being sensitive enough that it'd still be fun.
