Thanks, and before anyone asks, the foam on the cannon and around the cannon was to protect me from golf ball ricochets. There is one shot where the golf ball ricochets off the ground after hitting the DVD player and into my tree.

The plums were actually quite surprising, they had a perfect fit in my barrel as you can see in the breech loading shot. I have a tree in my yard, money may not grow on trees...but plums do, and that saves me money

It was funny how after each plum shot, there was a thick red line at the base of the DVD player on the concrete, as you see in the freeze frame, the plum juice mostly goes into the ground.

seems like a dumb question, but i've never shot a golf ball without a sabot. what size barrel are you using?

40mm PN15 (or PN12, I forgot) PVC.

It's a PVC size only available in metric countries such as Australia and New Zealand (where i'm from). If you're in America, you'll need som 1.5" SDR 21 or 1.5" Class 200 (If I recall correctly).

American members on this forum should fully answer your question when they see it.

Apparently there is a class 160 that also works. Though recently our members have been reporting some SDR 21 PVC will not fit golf balls, this is because of two things:

1) The SDR 21 PVC may differ internal diameter very slightly between each batch made.

and

2) Not all golf balls are exactly the same size, some are slightly bigger then others.

So if you find a supplier of SDR 21, best take a Golf ball with you.

Did you take all the little electronic parts out of the dvd player before you shot it?

No, though I did think about doing that after I had shot it.
I couldn't remember anything useful the parts would be except for a laser or something like that IIRC.

Next time I suggest you attach the dvd player to something, because it flying back is absorbing lots of the energy. If you were able to mount it in something, you may have gotten some penetration there.

I had thought of that but penetration wasn't my main goal, enetertainment was. And having it secured or weighed down would get in the way of the shot and make it less dramatic. If I wanted penetration I could've upped the pressure too.

Maybe if I find another electrical appliance I'll weight it down for maximum damage. But thanks for the suggestion
