I just test fired my new sprinkler-valve cannon with no barrel. Even though I opened the garage door, it still flipped the attic access hatch up out of it's frame just from side-blast. The garage floor is now completely free of dust and debris in a cone from about halfway back on the right-hand side, and it even blew some of my spraypaint cans off their shelf.
Remind me to wear hearing protection when I take it up over 80psi tomorrow...
My ears are ringing...

Consider yourself as smacked upside the head, and reminded.

Haha, like you're going to forgetDaltonultra wrote: Remind me to wear hearing protection when I take it up over 80psi tomorrow...
With a barrel it will be noticeably less loud, but you should definitely still wear hearing protection.
It's hard to soar with eagles when you're working with turkeys.
wow i was going to do this when i completed my piston valve cannon with two 5' x4" tanks.......bad idea
"i wonder if i can do that a little lowe- oh apparently no"
"If a little is good.....more is better"
My last words: "Ooooo! what does that do!?!?"

Try hard shorting a 1kJ capacitor bank. I was up close moving a SCR and the bank discharged through the Gate (which obviously ruined a very nice SCR ;(. ) was left with ringing for over a week

I wasn't figuring on 75(ish)psi going off like a freakin mortar...
It took me twenty minutes of hitting the hatch with a broom stick to get it set back straight in the combing. Didn't have time to try it again today, as I was running my Dad's truck at the Hangover Nationals.
Drag racing on New Years Day...everyone runs a 20.09 dial-in, no tech inspection, no track prep; you run the track as it sits, sun, snow, ice, or rain...
Anyway, I still need to finish the barrel brace, then I'll throw the barrel on and pop a few shots downrange. Also, I need to do one more minor mod to the sprinkler valve. I need to solvent weld the old flow control stopper back in to keep the diaphragm from blowing itself out.
