I am new to spud guns and such. I am thinking of building a golfball cannon. I have it mostly planned out and the only a few things left. I am thinking of using a CO2 cylinder with a regulator valve on the tank and set it to around 50-100 psi. I hear about this barrel and chamber ratio length. Should I even have a chamber? And what should the barrel length be?

So is the SpudWiki:
http://www.spudfiles.com/spud_wiki/index.php/Main_Page

Spend the next week or so going through topics on the forum and the SpudWiki. Completed cannons in the Showcase section on the forum are also good to check out.

Also i'd recommend clicking on 'GGDT' in D_Hall's signature. You probably wont know enough to use it yet, but at least it gives you a starting point so you can search his website and this website for answers.

I have thought about using GGDT in the past, but have afraid of downloading it only to discover it doesn't work on my imac. And no, I do not have Windows installed on it. (my brother hates when I download anything, esp. when I don't/ can't use it). Will it work?
