Pipe bugs... way cool.

Harnessing precision mixtures of pressurized flammable vapor. Not for the beginner.

Just got a new tool delivered this week that makes pipe cutting operations very smooth. I highly recommend a pipe bug if you have the need to cut large pipes.

Got the motorized version with a guide rail (ie, top of the line). 'Twere about $8k, but I think it'll be worth it's weight in gold.

Does this have anything to do with your "random comments" thread?
We are still all waiting on the "Random Pictures" thread you know.

There will never be random pictures. Only a press release.

Perhaps an estimation on when we could expect that?

Give it a few years. Monster industrial cannons don't grow overnight :)

8k for a cutting torch that pulls itself round a pipe!

The cost of some industrial toys seem insane on a hobby forum.

That's a pretty specialized torch, they may even build them as the orders come in...demand will way outweigh the supply.

Also, $8k for a serious tool in industry is chicken feed guys.... 8)

Word. Imagine what kind of cannon you could make with 8k though! If I had 8k to poop out, i'd design something so sick it would just be totally retarded and unnecessary.
So when I was choosing a material for my project, I thought "Oh, I bet titanium would be strong and light". I saw the price of a square foot of 1/8" material and almost choked on my tongue.

Not true at all! The pipe bug is sooo damned cool, that even though we just took delivery of it this week, we've only one cut left to make. The damned thing is just Fracking Cool!
