ok so as the title indicates i am looking for a blowgun replacement, the size and functionality just isn't there and they are longer than they need to be. does anyone know of some small valve that could handle at least 250 psi for a bbmg that doesn't cost an arm and a leg?

I guess you could use a .25 inch ballvalve? Why not the blowgun? Cut it to make it shorter and mod it. I use mine at high pressure all the time.

OK... as the requirement indicates, you will need a valve that is electrically actuated, as there is no way you can (manually) push a small button, with 250psi pressure behind it... and have it "functional".

If the gas you plan to use is CO2, then look into cyrogenic valves. Not only can they handle the pressure requirement, but also the cold temperature aa a "bbmg" uses a shitload of gas.

Sometimes, what you want and what you can get, are two entirely different things.

Careful when modding it, I modded the exhaust and fill ports on my blowgun by drilling them bigger and at 200PSI the valve is forced open by the pressure. I probably screwed up the piston surface area ratio. Though putting in a stronger spring did help.

Have a look at neospud's bbmg, he used a small push button valve I think.

Hum.

6790T42 on Mcmaster.

But nothing will undercut a blowgun in the cheap "high" pressure valve category.
