My AT-4 Model 1

Hi all, first time poster, first time builder. This is my first attempt at building what will soon become my paintball teams primary tank killing weapon.

Cannon
1" modified Orbit sprinkler valve
2" pressure rated PVC barrel chamber & fittings
Slidecheck/fill nipple

Body
4" PVC body
4" - Cast Iron Flare fittings
4"-2" Reducer Fittings
Sight Rail & Red Dot

For my first cannon it turned out alright. You can see from the pictures its a little long but it does draw attention on the field. I have not actually measured how far it fires, but it exceeded my expectations. The launcher can be run off of my remote line (120 psi) for fast-as-you-can-load firing or the slide check can be closed and disconnected from the air source for a more mobile 1-Shot launcher. Model 2 will hopefully be shorter & lighter. I would also like to change the position of the air connection and enclose the valve and blowgun in more PVC to finish off the body kit

not bad, it will look better if/when you hide the trigger. You could also go with a non-modded sprinkler valve so you could have an electronic trigger.. the performance would still be adequate for paintball/airsoft use.

Nice gun. I like how you hid all the "plumbing parts" with an outer body it makes it look more realistic.

It looks quite heavy with the cast iron and 4" bazooka facade..especially for a 2" cannon. However, I do like your details, red-dot site, paint job, shoulder strap and overall workmanship.

I'm curious as to how you load it. Do you just shove the ammo down the barrel? If you worked on a cartridge mechanism or some manner of a breach loading system, you could fire a lot more rapidly.

Thanks for all the positive feed back guys though I feel I could have been a little more specific about the components. The flares at the end are plastic 4"-to-cast-iron fittings, not 4" cast iron fittings (this thing is heavy enough).
It is a muzzle loading launcher, but plans are in the works for model 2 and that will hopefully be breach loaded. Also, I agree with every one that the valve definitely needs to be enclosed, it's on my to-do list.

Why do you suggest this? It would hardly be "upgrade" for its present usage.
