I got my self two "check valves" it turnes out they let air through both ways, so what the hell to i buy? Please help me out!

I've called them "Alemites" all my life, only because my Dad did. However, Alemite is a brand name.

I am not sure how you call the exact parts on a pump, any way the check valve will be mounted right at the bottom of the pump, this should minimize dead space.
