I have an offcut of tool steel from metalwork that I'll try hack into a nice knife. I have a nice multitool with my name engraved in it (calligraphic), A knife/spoon/fork/bottle opener combo thing and a mini swiss army knife. Also 2 boxes of swan and morton surgical blades. And a stanley knife.

I've had two Leatherman Waves. The first one I gave to my grandfather for Christmas, and he really likes it. The second one I haven't had to give away... yet.

I also buy those cheap 8$ Wal-Mart knives, remove the wooden handles, loosen the sprig of steel which locks the blade, and remove ONE plastic spacer to loosen the blade up further. It takes practice, but I can have it out and open in less than a second... you just have to make sure your <s>thumb</s> index finger is putting pressure on the sprig of steel or you'll lose some fingers.

Overall, I'm set for anything from small tasks that can be performed with a multi-tool, and quick tasks that require a large, sharp blade to do the job, and fast (cutting ropes, getting into boxes without management seeing you ((technically I could be fired for having a knife, but they won't let me keep a boxcutter either... wtf?)), etc.).

Just a question, but has anybody ever owned a Swisscard? Mine got me through school without feeling to naked (technically not against the rules, as the knife blade had to be longer than 1-1/2" to be considered grounds for disciplinary action).

Me? No. A couple of friends do however.

There wouldn't have been a whole lot of point to me owning one, given that the school knew I carried around locking blades of around 4 inches on a regular basis and didn't take the slightest of pains to stop me.

Part of the perks of being on the stage crew.
Does that thing kinda look like a big cat to you?

jor2daje, I believe my dad also has the second knife on your first post in this thread(the switch). I have a Gerber multitool I camp with, and a double sided switch for the sake of possession. I hate serrated blades, such a pain to sharpen. If I ever build the waste oil burner I want, I will make a fixed blade.

Me and my brother made a Katana about 20 years ago.It looks like hell now, because I chopped down a tree with it in my backyard, but I still got it.And it could still be made to look 100%.

I scared off some potential burglars with it once, by shoving it out the door through the mailbox. The instantly left. No character..

I made a LOT of weapons before I found this peaceloving site,.....

yeah baby yeah!
im guessing pretty good im actually still sharpening it...
Remember to sharpen with ever finer sharpening stones and finish the process by polishing the edge with PAPER.
That gave my katana such a sharp edge I could actually shave with it.
And spray some teflon onto it so it doesn't ...ahem...Stick.

ajdevi92, I have always wondered about your signature. Is that really 27 kinds or 27 weapons?

After i run through, gun, knife, blunt object, my wife, i start to run out of ideas

I am half poking in good fun and half curious. So what are the other 23 kinds?

You'd need a sock for that, of a spudgun in order for it to be a weapon.
