this is just a parts gun, kinda "ghetto"
whipped it up when i was sh!t bored yesterday.
i made this dart from a presta valve cap and a nail, put it into a chunk of wood so you guys can have a look at that when i get the pic up.

i use 6 layers of aluminum foil

thats dads shock pump there
lucky he is in Adelaide today :P

note the crazy green thing, its a tap-hose attachment, skillfully converted to a very basic breech loading system :D

What pressure do you use it at? I do the same thing when I am bored out of my mind, go to the spare parts bucket and attempt to make something worthy or not.

I wonder how many people have made that style cannon before.

I know my first ball valve looked pretty much identical to that. Except it was copper.

Where does it leak?
This should be good for a higher pressure (besides the green thing and possibly the PVC elbow though).

Always apply more teflon tape then you think you need to.
I usually stick to 5 layers, which is quite alot while winding it.

my expensive tape
One roll of teflon tape is typically bought for one or two bucks. You may even find cheaper stuff on occasion.
Next to that, its much more of a waste if you find out that your fitting leaks because you added too less tape and got to add tape again.

I think you should make a shock pump or a fridge compressor if you want more pressure or buy one its better than to keep spending money on bike pumps.

Is it just me, or do all of these guy's posts make you think he has his name for a reason..? Bike pumps are really only needed to go 40ish psi, or however much you put in your tire...
