Not really, but as airsoft basically isn't happening in Australia mine uses craft beads rather than plastic bb's, or metal ones if I can get my hands on them.

Not that I can remember, just because performance would be so bad as you would require a large amount of compressed air at a decent pressure to get the same effect with something like a marble.

However, it's worth noting that people with massive air supplies have made similar designs using marbles and golfballs as ammunition.

True, but at those kinds of sizes you need a massive airflow and the ammo is gigantically expensive. On the other end of the scale, I built a cloud design that shoots extremely fine grain sand- kind of a mini sandblaster I suppose..

I had always thought this was a cloud:

However, now I read back, it's not actually clear either way.
Does that thing kinda look like a big cat to you?

I believe that one or two marble clouds have been made, but air feed had to be massive.
Maybe having a secondary bigass PVC chamber with a big BV or piston valve to the cloud/vortex chamber. Would do for a short (and powerful) burst.
Till the day I'm dieing, I'll keep them spuddies flying, 'cause I can!

Joel made a ping-pong cloud for a marketing/entertainment company. He powered it with a wet/dry vac. Here's the link.

Well you could use anything circular. Basketballs, marbles, golf balls etc...
You would need a huge air supply and the ammo isn't economical but a basket ball cloud would be ownage. :D
