As for the cost, tough. This is an expensive hobby, be prepared to pay the price. Literally. Just count yourself lucky that prices aren't that of those in New Zealand where I pay about $7.50 USD for a 2" cap.

Sprinkler.com sells pressure rated tee's and all that up to 6" and above unlike mcmaster
Note epoxy cure time very important barrels are hard to remove from the wall
