It still has the stock sprockets, So it tops out at 15 MPH. It goes a little quicker with my oldest riding it (16-17mph) because he's all skin and bones. I confirmed all those numbers with the help of a radar gun. I have considered changing out the wheel sprocket to bring the top speed up a bit, but honestly, it doesn't really need it. I mostly did this to bring the acceleration and torque up, when it was at only 250 watts, it lagged when pushing my 200 Lb. carcass around :) Yes, the E300 has a 250 watt motor, not a 300 watt like you would suspect; perhaps if I ran it off a 36 volt circuit...

Now that I've got two motors on there, it's no problem. My older brother is a little intimidated by it in fact. Best part is, I can fit four more 12v 8Ah cells in the box if I want even more range.

I made it from two donor e300 scooters that were being tossed to the curb for the low low price of nothing. I still have another scooter chassis left over to do something with. I was thinking of turning that one into a spindle driven gas scooter.

An electric pocket bike is always an option, I hear the 500 and 750 watt bikes are the bees knees, and they're quick too! Still, you can't beat a two stroke for the tuning factor. It's all a matter of preference.
-Speed is a question of money; How fast do you want to go?
