Hey all- I've been runnin GGDT simulations to try and simulate the paintball launcher, and am wondering if its too optimistic.
For some reason, i can't upload a picture... So here are all the stats,
Pressure 110
Outer D- 1.25
ID-0
Length-3
Barrel Seal
# of valves- 1
Flow coef-20
Seat-.78
Dead Volume-2
Piston Diam-1.25
Piston mass- 1oz
Vent Diam- .2
Pilot volume- 3
Bore-1.5
Length-7
Friction-.5psi
Mass- 2 OUNCES
Diameter-1.5
Initial position-0
It tells me i should get 99 ft/s and ~200 feet. Now this is fine for 2 ounce paintball grenades, but it seems way to optimistic for such a small chamber and low pressure...
What do you think???
GGDT too optimistic?

You do have a long barrel and efficient valve to compensate for this though, at what launch angle was the 200 foot range calculated?ilovetoblowthingsup wrote:It tells me i should get 99 ft/s and ~200 feet. Not as obvious as you thoughtilovetoblowthingsup wrote:hoping that was obvious..
hahahaahah....
it just seems like way too good for a volume of 3.5 cubic inches.
Guess I'm just stupid....
First chamber will be out of steel... because I can't wait for PVC to dry.... then after that it will be all PVC... assuming it is successful of course
