Air tools (die grinder is particularly good, think dremel with massive power), water rockets, with a venturi to create a vacuum for removing grease/oil, for blasting rubbish away, cleaning the shed floor, getting flooded motors going (which happens often, I mod the reed valves + carby on the whippersnipper and lawnmover).

I suppose pressure testing, but I've only ever pressure tested a gun or rocket.

Inflating surgical tubing to keep PVC from kinking and flattening when I bend it for Christmas Decorations.

I also use it for some air brush decoration.

Finished test bend of PVC. Final product will be painted first and then bent.

Use a blowgun to clean out computers and other such electronics, or scare the holy crap out of passerby on Halloween.
The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.

I built this a while back, but it was unsuccessful in field tests.

Haven't got around to version two, but it would probably use an air spring recompressed via air from a compressor.

nice. i like the aesthetics. i think direct air is better than a spring. i somehow doubt a spring could be more powerful than a compressed air source.
otherwise we'd all be building spring powered guns right? or maybe we just havent thought os it till now....

i got a free die grinder with my new compressor(well not free but might as wel ave been)
i really want to get a venturi. maybe i'll build one!

p.s to suburban spudgunner if you want to REALLY scare the crap outta people you can build a trash can trauma. i'ts a monster on an air cylynder in a trashcan. when you trigger it, it pops up and startles them.
quite easy to build too.

A vacuum/low pressure forming venturi (not that there's any other type- I assume you want to make a vacuum rather than a fuel meter).

I answer your prayers

I'm going to make one for dad (with a flexible hose to use as a vacuum cleaner for cleaning out auto stuff- then the oils/grease can be blown into a tin and used as firelighters or something) for fathers day. I'll also make a larger one to vent a fume tent when I get off my ass and build it.

if you have the air to power them its cheaper then electric.

i havent tried them but they look awesome!

EDIT:
also this cutter:
