I can send dwg or sat3 files to you directly via e-mail.

These files will not lose any detail which may occur if double conversion.

I had one of my files take 6 hours to convert to sketchup.

Just pm me and we can discuss.
Dewey, I may take you up on this. Yes, original files can't be beat for accuracy.

Thanks, USGF

Could you get a set of the 1/4" iron fittings into sketchup? Specifically I need the male x female 90 deg elbow. Here's the McMaster product I'm looking at: 4638K221.

I just finished uploading 1/4 inch Iron/Steel fittings.
It contains the most popular used types.

Still waiting to see someone actually make use of these components!

If you open sketchup with a library of parts, you can do it a couple of ways.

One way is to "save as" your cannon file, then delete the parts you don't need.

The other is by opening sketchup twice. One session of sketchup is the library file, and the other is your cannon file. You would copy the parts from the library file and then paste them in your cannon file.

There may be other methods as well.

I do not use sketchup to create the parts, because I use a different CAD program that I am proficient at using .

Maybe some one who is a "sketchup master" will also reply.

You will soon, I'm whipping up something right now. I'm doing some of the modeling myself though so its just taking a little while.

For you "sniper" fans, I recently uploaded this Red Dot Scope.
It is a model of a BKRD30S (silver). The BKRD30 is a black version.

As I have said previously, if other CAD formats are wanted, just PM me.

Thanks for all your help! Today I downloaded Sketchup and was able to make a model of the gun I am building next week. I am still figuring out the program, but your uploads helped for sure! Here is what I came up with.

You are very welcome!
Looks like you learned to use sketchup pretty fast.

The only negative comment I can make; the sprinkler valve needs to be turned by 180 degrees. Note the arrows on the valve.
You do not need the ball valve because you can turn the flow regulator off. Of course this is unless you want the air source to be on all the time.

Otherwise, great job for your first design.

I do want the ball valve on it, so that way I can set the regulator to X amount of PSI and every shot will be consistent.
