My first Paintball gun

Hey, i'm planing on building a paintball gun, with http://www.spudfiles.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=160 loading system (cowers from the anger of the anti-copycat) and want to be able to switch from single shot to full auto and was thinking of getting an impulse valve and building a controll box for it. Is that the easyest way to go or am I totally wrong here? Any noob-friendly help will be apreciated.
