bike pump maintenance
this may be a dumb question but is there anything i can/should do to keep my manual track pump going strong? like should i give it a spray of wd40? i was just wondering cause i cant imagine its going to last to long anyway.

Definitely not WD40, the seals might not like it. Any occasionaly smear of moly grease should suffice, I don't think you should be that worried if it's a quality pump.
To put this in more useful terms, you should avoid using petroleum based oils or greases on rubber seals, because it can easily degrade them.
Two reasonable alternatives, although it depends on the exact circumstances, are graphite lubricant and silicon oils/greases.
I scarcely use petroleum based lubricants any more - only when there's a specific call for them.
