4" Double Layered ABS vs 4" NSF PVC

What do you guys think would be safer for a pneumatic, a 6 foot long section of 4" diameter cellular core DWV ABS with couplings glued over the entire length (dividers dremmeled away) or a 6 foot long section of typical sch 40 PVC that is pressure rated.

from what I know, the pressure rated pvc will be safer because it is PRESSURE RATED. double layered abs might be reasonable safe for lower pressures, but the pvc would probably be cheaper after you factor in the cost of the reducers. Common sense tells us that ABS would only be as strong as its weakest point, and coupling will make no difference when you con't double layer the end cap or bushing.

I wouldn't gamble on the integrity of a 6 foot long 4 inch diameter chamber.

The US is not a good place for the average consumer to get pressure rated ABS so if you can't get some don't bodge some.

PVC works fine if you don't knock it about or let it knock itself about.
