Here is the cannon i compleated a few days ago. It will launch a rubber ball over 100 yards at 60 psi. I will soon take it up to 100 psi. I want to add a co2 setup but don't have the money now. Currently pump it up with an air compressor or hand pump. I am also going to paint it. So here it is.

Vid of shooting water. SWEET!!!
(it's the only good vid i had)

very cool! Only thing I have to say...well, 2 things. One is: You're C:B Ratio (Chamber:Barrel Ratio) does not look that great, I would have used a smaller bore barrel. Also, I have read somewhere that shooting water in a pvc gun can cause it to crack...but I can't remember where I read that. Anyway, cool compact design, I like small pvc guns.

Nice work for a 1st cannon. I wonder if you got the idea from sgort87s master piece, if you've seen it.

Thanks but it's not actually my first. It's my first small cannon. The others are large and monsterous.

Very nice.

Guns that can be carried can be much more practicial. I really like your design. Perfect for water or paint ballons. You may want use your money on a 12volt inflation pump rather then CO2. Even if you have your own fill tank CO2 has allot of drawbacks and can be rather expensive.

Thanks for the comment's. I just noticed both of them. Since the original post i have added a hand pump to the bottom and a quick connect. Also a golfball barrel. I will soon paint it. When i get it completely done i'll make a new post, as this page would have too many pictures

nice gun but i may suggest on a next gun or modify this one to make the release valve the same size as your barrel if you did that than you would have more power but i think that you should invest in a 12 volt pump rather than CO2 like procyon said

But for a first small cannon it is awesome and compact :D :D :D :D :D

Great job!! :D :D

Umm no. A co2 cetup is much better than wasting money on a 12 volt compressor. Those cheap little toys(yes they are basically toys) will burn out within a few weeks. And also his valve is fine for what he does with his cannon.
Yeah, it's that important.

But wouldn't the use of CO2 in a PVC gun cause the PVC to become brittle?

I'm fairly sure that using co2 in pvc only makes it brittle if it is put in too fast or the liquid is sprayed in. I kind of turned away from the co2 idea because of cost issues. I mounted a small pump to the bottom and it doesn't take very long to pump it up while away from any air compressor. I ran out of spray paint today so once i buy some moar I will post it.

It now has the pump mounted to the bottom.

Will soon be painted :D

Now has a golf ball barrel.

I'll probably have new pics up within the week.
