Going off the hamster idea, you could put a wiffle ball or two inside of the chamber and shake it around before every shot. If they are too big you can always get the miniature ones used for golfing practice.

Or use this idea called Chamba chain or change. I cant remember who posted it. I think iot is on advanced spuds but basically it is a chain hooked up in you chamber ad you shake it around. Same thing goes with the coins.
Yeah, it's that important.

You could use a plunger with a bunch of small holes in it and move it back and forth inside the chamber to force the gases through the same holes to mix it. like this:

I have reached my conclusion about using chamber fans with this build. Pics speak for themselves. This was a very small fan and it looks like it has been smashed with a hammer. Incredibly interesting indeed. A single shot once again did this.

What was cool about this shot was the breech was left open and all I saw was a huge orange flash all around me! It was ridiculous, and cool.

EDIT: Oh, just to let you know, I tested some 1x shots with each fan and they stood up fine. When I stepped it up they blew.

If you really want a chamber fan that will survive, use a small sealed motor so combustion can't get inside and on the shaft attach a short length of bathroom stopper chain. Let it whip like a weed eater and mix and agitate the contents. There would be little surface area for the shock wave to kill.

It is another possible alternative!

You mentioned the fan was mounted in the rear, I assume that means the end closest to the barrel breach. If that is the case, I can see how you would get a very large pressure differential at that location right after the burst disk breaks. A better fan location would be at the front of your chamber, furthest away from the barrel breach.

The cannon is inline and the fan was at the back, furthest away from the breech.
