Lookey what I got

Cannons powered by pneumatic pressure (compressed gas) using a valve or other release.

I just recieved 5 1/4" qevs for $14.00 from ebay :)

Other than to show them off, I would appreciate some suggestions on what to do do, I am planning:

a simple high power single shot airsoft gun with built in pump

a hammer valve to pilot and a blow forward bolt for a small bore, maybe airsoft calibre gun.

a pop off and t mag for full auto, not sure what ammo to use

that leaves 2 qevs so any ideas or input on these ideas would be great

You got a good deal my man!!!

Maybe you could build a 5 shot metalstorm type weapon and have each valve .............

In that case a supesonic cannon that shoots 5000 m/s at 1500 rpm? Ill be taking that qev then. Ha ha. Maybe a semi auto nerf gun? Or maybe pneumatic cartridge fed shotgun.
Yeah, it's that important.

I usually pick up multiple QEV's when they come up on eBay, which isn't too often. I've spent probably less than $30 and I have ten 1/4" QEV's from two different manufacturers.

Good luck and have fun with them. I'd suggest using a few of them as pilot valves for larger piston valves.

Ha ha. But yes i believe a semi cartridge fed shotgun would be sweet. Or maybe airsoft sniper semi auto? Actually i just had a grand idea. Semi auto smoke err i mean portable cloud grenade launcher. :D for airsoft of course.
Edit: did you guys know there is another sandman before me?
Yeah, it's that important.

Been thanked: 7 times

How about using the extra 2 as pilot valves for bigger piston valves then?

Or a five barreled gatling type mini-gun (paintball?) design...

It could have a chamber for each valve with liquid stored gas filling each chamber too maybe.

A cam or lobe shape to press a sleeve blocking the magazine and same to depress each pilot at firing position.

With copper barrels and propane at around 200 psi (heated).
reasonable PaintBall performance could be acheived(?) 8)
