JSR was on vacation in the land where he truly feels at home *sigh*
Also what would you recommend for diameter and length?
What I always say, there is no substitute for cubic capacity when it comes to silencers, so make it as big as you're practically comfortable with.

I'd also like to add that if your good at constructing things a rectangular shaped silencer of the same size of a round one will have almost the same volume.

Actually for the same width it will have a volume almost 22% larger ,)

Reading my post again I actually meant to say double the volume.

For BB sized, You might want to look into "Lamp Pipe" and fittings.

It's the pipe used inside nearly all lamps.

I was rat-piling the stuff for a long time, then found 3 foot fully threaded (around $5(-) and various shorter lengths and fittings at Home Depot in the lamp/light socket section.

There are two diameters...the smaller one is about 3/8" OD.
Same as brass "1/8"" pipe nipple and same threads.
Fits snug inside 1/2" round stock in hardware sect. too.
The ID is .27? which takes 1/4" ID thin brass tubing snugly.

My point, for the casing, a light bulb socket will thread onto lamp pipe.
There are couplings for lamp pipe too.
The light socket could be glued/epoxied into a pipe or casing ...

Not sure how would be best to stuff it full of pan scrubby pads, insulation, seperate baffles/ sections, rubber baffles etc. (for you).

Got theoretical ideas only on the internals, besides the random noises and bangs keep neighbors at bay. :P 8)

Again with BBMGs it's not that much of a problem, they tend to "whoooosh!" and "braaaaap!" as opposed to "BANG!" so suppression is usually less of a concern for the neighbours as much as BBs ricocheting all over the place  :D

So in a general way I will say, co2 can "whoosh" (hiss) sooo loud,
it makes one's ears ring badly.
Besides the vapor causes burns (which luckily heal quickly).... 8)
