The XRV valve:
(its not mine) That valve looks like it can be activated by only pression on the cooper tube with the nut on it.
I would like to make that valve (its a pretty small valve) to make a gun that looks like this one:
But a paintball version( i have a .707 " pvc pipe laiying around ) with a more performant valve ( the creator of that valve has made a better valve then the airforce one )
BUT, i need to get clarified on some points of the valve mechanism...
This is how i see it, but air can escape around the cooper pipe, so...what is wrong in my drawing?
XRV valve?(need help)

I don't see anything wrong with your diagram, it looks like it should all work unless I'm missing something. One thing I would check though is the o-rings, as that is what is supposed to keep the air from leaking. Maybe try adding some lube to the o-rings.
It's hard to soar with eagles when you're working with turkeys.
Here is another drawing
What i dont understand is why is there a hole on the cooper pipe and why air would leak out of the barb hose where the spring is?...
(follow the red lines)

I don't think that the second hole is necessary, you should be fine without it.

It's a manual hammer valve, and you'll have big problems actuating it at larger calibers and pressures.
