I'd like to see someone do some catastrophic failure testing of pvc chambers wrapped in different things like duct tape/.25" rope/sprayon bedliner/fiberglass-resin/carbonfiber-resin/spiderwire-resin/etc...

Be interesting to see how different things effect schrapnel dispersion and or bursting strength....

I'm surprisede I haven't seen anyone use steelbraid to sleeve their cannons... like this: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/EAR-920013ERL/

i would do that test how they spread and how deadly it is... ( if i had the money)

If I had a hispeed camera I'd build a few chambers and turn loose the co2 on them for the sake of science( remotely mind you), use a check valve on a guage to measure actual failure pressure... And the hispeesd camera would show the fail characteristics...

I've got Lots of sizes of pvc leftover from differant projects, spend a few dollars on fittings... Might be worth doing even without the camera

They were. Eventually, it gave way, with the tape tearing rather than the adhesive failing.
