I can read that. and this
Jrrdw you probably just need a bigger monitor (or a lower resolution).
...or glasses.
I agree to stop using lines as small as the following. (line deleted)
So "tiny" being size 7 should be the minimum.
On a minor note,
why did you delete my post about suggesting to talk in big dark-red font?
That's not against the rules is it?

Any font smaller then 9 or small on the drop down menu will be deleted. There is no good reason to make it a pain to read.

tiny text should be allowed. i can understand the problem with changing the number to make it even smaller. but that is unnecessary to block a built in feature, soon it will be no bold allowed.
If text affects are so bothersome, a text browser will do.

Your making things a pain to moderate. If members didn't try to sneak things in that violate the rules of discussion it wouldn't be a problem, but they do, so it has to checked.
You guys don't realize the ammount of reading we mods do. So help us out and stop making it a pain, jeez...

Ah there is at least
one viable point against small font...
Well then make me a mod and I'll do it.

I've got no problems with having to check all small text.

Us guys with fighter pilot vision won't have much fun with size 9. I say 7 should be the limit. The point is to make it a little difficul to read, but not goddamn obnoxious.
Let's try this, J. Anyone caught trying to hide things in small font will be heavily scolded, and if need be, banned. Do you know what you're doing by cracking down on font size? It's much like initiating more gun laws. You'll end up taking our fun away so people will just end up saying the rule-breaking material in large fonts where everyone will notice it even easier anyway.

I can see the slogans now
Small fonts don't cause blindness. Internet pr0n does.

I think the compromise level is up to you. So long as too small to read casually we can all tell it's off topic. The smaller the better, down to the limit of what's not annoying for you.
If you have anything above a small monitor, you can just keep it zoomed all the time. There is so much space either side of the text, and I can't read 5 posts at once so I have it permanently zoomed slightly.
Sgort has a good idea - why not just put up an announcement up about it, and anyone found using small text to conceal rule breaking is severely punished (assuming it's not a grey area, in which case, a slightly less severe punishment).

Oh, please no. I hate it when some people feel the need to "have a specific font" on forums and do so by posting everything in large bold letters.
Yeah, a colour that you use, I could accept... but personally, I find large text used in excess far more irritating than small text.
Does that thing kinda look like a big cat to you?

I might have been consuming very many alcoholic beverages, and I still know all I have to do is highlight it.
