I used the search function to see if anyone has thought of this and I didn't get any relevant results.

So today I was bored so I decided to make some more ammo for my 1/2" barrel. And I got an ammo stuck in my barrel (disconnected from chamber) so I looked around for something to poke it out with. Guess what, a drumstick fits perfectly in the barrel.

Avg ID of 1/2" SCH 40 PVC: .602" (http://www.harvel.com/pipepvc-sch40-80-dim.asp)

Diameter of different drumsticks:

5B (the one I used): .590"
2B: .63"
5A: .551"

They are about 16-17" long

Might not be the cheapest of ammo but its easy to get and no need to change anything to it.

Nice fit? I think so :)

I saved a few drumsticks from Thanksgiving.

Should I shoot them frozen or thawed out?

True, but do they have standard diameters? The 5B Drumsticks, I believe, has a standard of .590"

being in (marching) band, i have acess to alot of broken drumsticks, they do fit well in PVC, some of the larger ones in 3/4", but because of their shape, they dont fly well at all. its kind of like trying to throw a spear by holding the last two inches of it

I would think that cutting these down to an inch or so and boring a big hole in the back end would work alright?...
