Experience in cascaded air compressors?

Cannons powered by pneumatic pressure (compressed gas) using a valve or other release.

ah.... I was unaware that the bottom of the piston is exposed to the input pressure. Very interesting. I think my pump can only do 400 because it was designed for what I believe to be the lower pressure automotive refrigerant as well as only needing to run for short periods of time.

just loged in after like 6 months second post i read im still rememberd :D

i used a very low input pressure of about 50psi

i started the second compressor and wated till it toped out at around 1000psi the motor was running but it reached its limit i then input about 10psi it went up to about 1400psi then stoped basicaly all i was doing it compresing the air in the dead space i eventualy got up to 1800 then an internal seal on the pump blew remember the outher case pressure never was above 100 psi

i fancy having ago at makining anouther high pressure pump but more home grown maby utilising a bike piston and barrel.

You are mostly remembered for your disregard to safety..

1800 psi on a small copper tube is not exactly safe..
I hope you haven't encouraged anyone to try it for themselves.

I mean, as cool as it would be to have 1800 psi at hand....it would require the rated materials to handle it safely.
Anyway...

I gave it a try and although I only used a 500 gram CO2 bottle, filled with air I did notice it filled a lot faster, above the input pressure.
Logically, the input pressure would flow through the fridgy even if it wasn't on, so I was curious to see if it made a difference.

I don't feel safe to have it run to the max though as it already reaches 900 psi on it's own.
Wich is more than I am willing to use..

Can't ask for a better compliment!!
