Looks like Aluminum. about 3" x 11". What pressure is safe in it?

It contained some Oxygen and I let it out with the screw valve.

How does the Oxygen thread go?

Are there fittings to fit it?

I was thinking of using it as a chamber for a repeater or as a quick fill air compressor tank.

Any other ideas?

I found these specs:

Luxfer M6 Oxygen Cylinder

Service Pressure
2216 psi
Oxygen Capacity 5.8 cu ft
Outside Diameter 3.2"
Overall Length 11.8"
Empty Weight
2.2 lbs
Internal Volume 62 cu in
Thread Size 0.750-16 UNF-2B
Duration 2 lpm = 1:22 / 3:1 = 4:07

Advertise and sell the bottle on ebay.
Use the money you made from the sale of the bottle, to buy another pack of Pokemon cards.

Yes, I know; It was used to purchase Pokemon cards.
The Pokemon cards were traded for a limited edition teletubby sipper cup...
The limited edition teletubby sipper cup was sold, to buy the Oxygen tank...

You must keep the cycle going, or the stock market will crash, the internet will be banned and then we won't be able to ask silly questions, on spudfiles anymore...

and THAT, would SUCK!

First I have to unscrew the valve.

Next I have to fin a 3/4 x 16 UNF male threaded something that I can adapt to NPT.

Ideas?

Hmm.. I would go with Poland's advice and make a portable air tank with it. It seems too good to waste as a chamber. If you have a fridge compressor, you could fill it to 500 or 600 psi, then use it to subsequently fill smaller chambers to that pressure without having to hook up your compressor all the time. You could also try your hand at small caliber, automatic weapons (bbmgs and pop-offs).

Oxygen threads should be opposite to normal threads. Keep that in mind.

Stu, you really need to start using google more. As DR alludes to, you ask some pretty basic questions. (I "niced" that up some.)

3/4-16 unf is right hand thread. The "2B" is the "go guage" size...essentially a tolerance.

Kudos. :)

Wrong.. Fuel is used with left hand threads. Ask any welder. Old style POL propane fittings are left hand, fuel on an oxyfuel torch are left hand. This prevents connecting the green line to fuel and the red line to oxygen.

You are correct (as usual). Rightly tighty, lefty loosey.

I finally unscrewed the valve/fitting.

My plan is to cut the chrome plated brass fitting and braze on a 3/8" brass T.
