My First Pneumatic Cannon Fail

I'm just curious as to what's wrong with it? I mean, there are some obvious "newb" things done to it, but what did it do not to function properly? It may be a problem that needs to be pointed out so that the next one doesn't get scrapped as well.

the dwv on the barrel shouldn't be much of a problem, you could get away with just a new chamber

Yeah, and that looooooong hose will cut your sprinkler valve's opening time by a considerable amount.

has anyone mentioned this, the way he attached his gauge and and safety popoff valve big waste of money spent on brushing there, you should just tap a threaded port on the side

As for a "big waste of money spent on brushing", it probably amounted to less than $1.25+/-....

The fitting walls are probably .125" +/- thick. You advocate drilling a hole which is perfect place for a crack to form. Then you'd thread in a tapered (npt) fitting which will wedge more stress into the drill hole. Even worse...on a curved surface of .125" thick, the npt fitting MIGHT be held in with only 2 threads at best.

I can't find fittings for that cheap
and everyone knows that you tap the hole where the coupler and pipe overlap, and if you still feel unsafe you could drill through the brushing for all I care

DWV PVC...if you use the cannon, wear eye protection. Like, seriously don't go without it. You might get a little cut or scrape here and there on your arms at 60psi, but your eyes...GOOD NIGHT! The cannon looks nice by the way.
