Air bag cannon

Do you think that if the bag was removed from an airbag you could attach a barrel and use it as a cannon. You would only be able to use it once but is just might work. Although this would be ineffective from a practicallity standpoint it would be interesting to see if it would work.

sure it might work but most of them use solid explosives as propellant

Oh god, don't.
The propellant in a lot of airbags is sodium azide- not only is it rather dangerous and an explosive (so not welcome for discussion here), but it's toxicity is comparable to cyanide.

If it is so toxic how is it safe in air bags? Powder is released from the bag after it deploys.
