This is my ''mini'' (compared to what i normally build) pneumatic squash ball cannon. i had to scale down te size of my more recent launchers for ease of transport cause im moving in july.

total length: 2'7''
barrel: 1.5''(od) by 21 inchs long
chamber:1.5''(od) by 16 + the short length of ¾
valve: ¾ sprinkiler valve modded for pnrumatic operaton

i dont know how far this cannon shoots but im estimating about 35-45m

i do have a video but il put that up tomorrow after some more testing

Neat. Only one thing: the zip ties on the hosing. I would use a pair of hose clamps instead, as I don't see how you could possibly get the zip ties tight enough to hold safely.

Other than that, very nice.

Nice simple cannon. If the zip ties were tightened with a tip tie gun they should be fine, otherwhise replace them with a hose clamp.

For a later improvement, try to keep the chamber size large up to the sprinkler valve. The reduction for the 2 90's produces two areas of turbulent high speed flow resulting in considerable pressure loss before the valve. As an added benefit, the strength of the overall launcher is stronger with larger elbows.

I agreee that the proper clamps must be used. A hose popping off will fire it resulting in a possible injury or property damage. Safety first.

the zip ties were a temporary measure cause i couldnt find a hose clamp, also because of the zip ties im only firing it at 30 psi. the U shape design with the two elbows was to keep this launcher as small and compact as possible but yet have some descent power for its size.
i also did a hose test ( dry fire) the hose poped off at 60 psi without anything holding it down (no zip ties or hose clamps)

PS. home hardware is freaking expensive!! :(

edit: i could not find a larger valve anywhere and that 1.5 to 3/4 bushing on the chamber was already glued on because the pvc i used was from another cannon
