I wonder how much deeper the ocean would be without sponges.

Not my video, but I like the flame propagation. It is a lighter in a blender. The lighter breaks but does not ignite until the gas reaches the motor in the blender base, then the gas in the air ignites. It's very impressive. By the time the gas ignites the blender is full of gas, but has no air inside, so the inside does not ignite.

Yep, always interesting to see how flames propagate in detail. Not to mention it looks freakin' cool.

Here's another vid I recorded recently:

Nice. I like the delay between the sock exiting, and the vapour cloud suddenly expanding a little bit. Also, you can use the in-camera editor to cut down unessecarily long videos by pressing 'down' after pausing a video.

I hate to tear apart a great video, but I like to analyze things so please forgive me.

I am highly disturbed by the late arrival of the cold air. The sock looks like it is ejected with no pressure behind it. There does appear to be enough chamber volume for the air to reach the muzzle as indicated by the puff of fog.

I am going to guess that this is a relatively small chamber that put a burst of pressure on the sock to accelerate it. The air expanded and the temperature and pressure dropped. The sock ejected under slight vacuum. Air rushed back into the barrel, mixed with cold air and in resonance ejected a puff of fog.

Please post the parameters on the sock video. Pressure used, chamber and barrel sizes, valve used, etc.

With plenty of pressure and volume, I would have expected a muzzle blast like the attached photo, not a wimpy puff.

At 20 PSI, that explains it. The volume of the chamber expanding to twice it's volume barely voided the barrel. Thanks for the feedback on the launch. The video makes sense with those parameters.
