Fair point, I was addressing the general misconception that adding a suppressor automatically reduces muzzle velocity.

Speaking of silencers, I would like to try something like this:



A silencer with a sort of knive-like edges, wich "peel off" the air.
On the outside of the silencer's housing are holes, wich I think will increase the effective volume, because air can leave the silencer trough them.
Of course the air is slowed down by some steel wool in the housing.

Anyone?

Not necessarily the case with suppressors, I had done a test with my Daystate and the factory suppressor actually increased velocity.

I know you and Ragnarok already had this out, but as Ragnarok suggested, I was referring to the wipes.
