Propane meter assembly copper vs. PVC?

Boom! The classic potato gun harnesses the combustion of flammable vapor.

hey guys, just wondering if there are any problems with building your fuel meter out of 1/2 PVC and 1/2" ball valves instead of copper fittings? it seems to me that PVC would be more exact and much easier to work with.
thank you your help is very much appreciated

I think the big difference would be the cost!

as for one being better than the other.... I would say the copper would be better and more accurate than the pvc but I guess it all depends on the builder.

i was thinking the PVC would be more accurate if you measure the ID precisely and the you wouldnt need to use large niplle that only come in 1" increments. Oh believe me the price was my main motivation on this one

As long as you know the volumes you're working with (when in doubt for irregular shapes, fill with water ;)) it shouldn't be an issue.
