what size QEV for new semi-auto?

okay so i am working on a repeating QEV gun using this valve which i am going to buy http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Pneumatic-Quick- ... 1330wt_702
i plan on achieving semi-auto through either the same pilot system that this user used:http://www.spudfiles.com/forums/semi-au ... 21406.html

or by using a regulated feed of air although i plan for it to be all self contained with no external tanks etc.

MY question is that using this will the 1/4 valve be effective or would it be better to use a 1/2 of the same type? (see link above for valve)

We need to know the size of barrel/ammunition you'll be using in order to answer this question.

oh right.. okay uhm i have several different sizes of stainless steel tubing but i will probably use one with a 6.5mm inside diameter (not exact)
also by semi-auto i would be happy with 5 shots +

In that case, 1/4" should be more than enough, thought if you plan a reloading mechanism that uses the air pressure from the shot (such as for example a blow forward or blow back bolt, a 1/2" valve would certainly be beneficial.

For a manual bolt action though a 1/4" valve is perfectly suitable.
