I'll look for BB's later, also, my magazine will also be made of the same pipe as my barrel, I'm brainstorming a quick reloading magazine for pistols/sniper rifles. ( Originally I thought it up for a pistol similar to the one Brandon Heat has on GunGrave, but then I realized that a similar design could be used on a sniper as well.[/img]

You don't want welded pipe for your barrel as it will have a burr along the seam on the inside.

Advanced designs are fine and all, but without the means to build them, they are just drawings. I would venture to guess that if $24 is too much for a single valve that you might be motivated enough to try to build your own valve. Check out the wiki and do a lot of research.

Preplanning is essential for any build.

Got a good place online for supplies like this? The only seamless ones is for SCH80, and I need SCH40 and the 24 dollar one is good, but JSR found one that costs like 3 bucks, but the thing I like about this one was actually the hook trigger, and not a flat one. I also decide that I'm going to build a sniper rifle instead of a pistol. Now I just need a site for supplies.

Well why do you need a steel barrel? Aluminum works just fine and is drawn, so it has no seam. You could even get away with using plastic depending on your pressures. I use Mcmaster all the time for raw materials that I can't find locally. They're expensive when it comes to commonly available tools like blowguns and other such things.

You could always make a new trigger or add onto the flat one to give it a hookish feel.

If you're going to make a larger gun than a pistol, I would recommend going for a cloud chamber with a detent. It will give you rate of fire that will wet your pants as well as an easy build.

No, I actually want it to be semi, so I have some control over it, I don't want it to spray all out like -insert rude comparison here-. Also, I assumed that when the valve opens and air floods the barrel, the barrel had to be able to handle the pressure as well, seems as if I'm wrong, also, my local hardware store can -also insert rude joke here- so I want to buy everything that I can online.

You're right to err on the side of caution, but you're talking a safety factor of...(resisting the urge to say over 9000)

Aluminum is more than capable of withstanding whatever pressures that blowgun can. Your connections will burst before the pipe ever does.

But, if it's that big of a deal, look for rigid steel tubing on Mcmaster. It won't have a burr on the inside so it'll be suitable for use as a barrel.

sch40 and 80 are not pressure rating but wall thickness you should look for pipe that has PN and a number that number is its rating in bar(1 bar is 14psi) or nsf-pw <--- not sure about that one maybe some els can help you there

I thought SCH80 had a higher rating than SCH 40, anyways, my build so far is this :

http://www.mcmaster.com/#steel-tubing/=b02vv1 <-That would be the barrel, since its 36 inches, I can use it for other projects as well, however, if I'm to buy the 6 inch tube for air tank, I'll have to buy the 10 bucks one, which basically means II'll lose 24 inches for 3 bucks. This will be the magazine as well.

I have yet to find a blow gun trigger and this is where I need help. I want a valve that won't shoot all the air at once, I want this gun to be a semi-automatic with semi-powerful shots, enough to kill my plywood at close range (Around 10 steps away?)

?????? I'm aiming for small. The valve would be on a blow gun, I would personally go for number 3 of those blow guns, its silent and its -50% power
