If I used a commercial sized tank, how would I hook it up to my gun? I was thinking about leaving the mechanics on a refillable tank, but changing out the hose with a longer one, with a quick connect and disconnect on the end of it. Any thoughts on this?
I personally wouldn't go with a fire extinguisher as its very unlikely to have threads suitable for an coupling/adapter to fit it to your gun. I have used one on mine and I have to say It was a big waste of time. See If you can find a cheap co2 tank for a paint ball gun, as you can attach them to quite a few sizes of pipe using thread adapters etc.
But if you really want to use a fire extinguisher, you will most likely have to adapt a coupling to fit it to your gun or modify the existing thread attached to the top assembly.
The hose Idea seems ok but I would still recommend a co2 tank.
hope this helps

I agree FE's arent worth the fuss. Use some other sort of metal if you need to use high pressure

Ok, I might just stick with a back pack PVC tank, multiple tanks though...

There are some fire extinguishers with quick-connect attachments on the valve:

Jack, thats exactly what I was talking about, but it wouldbe upside down, and I would just hit the handle for a quick refill of my main tank.
