hey! all my guns are serviceable... you just have to cut a couple cm's of the end to do itmark.f wrote:As it should be, with zero serviceability.ilovefire wrote:piston: solid rubber![]()
Nice, clean build, as all of your projects are.

I hope you reinforced the breech in order for the piston to have plenty of area to spread the force on.

ooh ooh bullpup! Any my usual recommendation of an integral suppressor over that skinny barrela design i have in mind for the stock

ha ha interesting story but as with a lot of your links i cant see its pointjackssmirkingrevenge wrote:All is discovered; flee at once!mark.f wrote:As it should be, with zero serviceability.

you mean the start of the barrel? no i didnt, if i did i believe it would have started to chock the flowjackssmirkingrevenge wrote:I hope you reinforced the breech in order for the piston to have plenty of area to spread the force on.
i think hybrids are great and all with the power and size but its all to annoying for me if i just want to shoot stuff, you have to have the gas the syringe the burst disks then you have to load it and all and then theres the ignition which can be annoying click* click* click* boom! i like the idea that i can just pump it up put in ammo and one go boomjackssmirkingrevenge wrote:The epoxy builders' mindsethey! all my guns are serviceable... you just have to cut a couple cm's of the end to do itI wonder though, why not make it a hybrid? The power potential is much greater and in design terms it wouldn't have been that different.
ha ha thought about bullpup but without proper sights it would be a pain in the ass the aim, as for the skinny part of the barrel thats coming of when i make the stock so it a little more compact, thought about making a suppressor but i think i might just save on the bolk, when i test it at 400psi i might see it it needs suppression and posible make something for it but at the moment i have no plans to do so, as for the stock i was thinking of maybe something like thisjackssmirkingrevenge wrote:ooh ooh bullpup! Things I've found with small bore, high pressure is really needed to get any achievable results. I'm sure you'll be happier with results at high pressure.

Dang that's a really clean build. I like! Plenty of opportunity for some interesting re-bodying.

Ramp up the pressure until you can comfortably shoot through a backstop. That's how you know it's high enough.
At high enough pressures, you can generate more recoil than a conventional launcher of comparable sizeJDP12 wrote:Things I've found with small bore, high pressure is really needed to get any achievable results. I'm sure you'll be happier with results at high pressure.

Indeed. I get alot of my inspiration from Mitchza's guns. Small bore, but extremely impressive results.

the thing is you all may call this a small bore gun but its actually the largest bore gun i have and at 200psi i would have thought it would have been able to at least go through what my cane gun (5mm) can do at 400psi, yet it couldnt, but anyway i will be doing some 400psi testing this morning
edit: well, the blow gun leaks when i get anymore then 200, and 200 is quite sh*t, im starting to think this is a was of money, im more impressed with my cane gun at 200psi

[Edit] I've never worked with such blowguns, it just looked around the wrong way.
They look really awkward to use, personally I spend an extra $2 and get a nice one.

Looks very nice and clean, ilovefire. The stock will look awesome. I think it may deserve a scope if it is powerful enough at 400.

Maybe just replace the blowgun with a ball valve for now until you can find a better solution? If it's on the right way I don't see why it would leak, but then again they are only rated for 90 PSI.
