So I showed a friend my first pneumatic, triggered by a sprinkler valve, and he now wants me to make him a pneumatic double barrel shotgun, with a barrel break... Any idea on how I could do it? He said $100 dollar budget, is that enough to work with? I would love to build this, simply because it would be an awesome addition even if he changes his mind and gives it to me. (Kinda hoping if I can pull it off
) My dad thought maybe I could use a Y piece to send air pressure to both barrels, but I thought about a metal Y valve instead. That way there is two flows of air, and you dont waste ammo so fast. Any tips would be great. Barrel lengths will be 1 foot each, 3/4" ID, and I will possibly use a QEV, if not, a sprinkler valve. Chamber will be 2" ID and about 5" long. End cap will have either a schrader or a quick connect piece. Thats my thought so far. Any ideas would be awesome!

do you want both barrels to fire at the same time or separately ?
you could just build to small launchers and tie them side by side.
1' barrels are really short, you should get at least double it.

He wants spread and power, so 1' is actually perfect for the pressure its gonna be running at (120 psi). I would kinda like the barrels to be separate, with the option of both at the same time. Its going to be using drilled out 12 gauge shells (no powder or shot obviously...) because 1, they fit perfectly into a 3/4" barrel, and 2 because it adds to the feel.

Can you build your own piston valves?
Your own hammer valves?
If so:

You just need to make two...and stick them together.

Barrels sealers, and for hammer valve you can use blow guns just take the trigger guard off and hit the stem with a hammer.

Ok, well I dont really like hammer valves... 1 because they are kinda a waste of money, and 2 because they dont really have much of a use... I will probably just use a barrel sealer with a blowgun pilot, a 1" Y and two 1/2" barrels with a 2 inch chamber. Sound good?

it will work but that way you will shot both barrels at once, thats not cool, you should make two identical lunchers and just glue them together side by side. each would have its own pilot, barrel and chamber.

Ok... Any ideas on what I should use? I am trying to make this all fit into a stock, rather than having to make one.

whats your projectiles? slugs or bbs? cos if its slugs i think you would need 2 valves side by side but if its waded bbs i think that you should be fine with a y piece on a half inch piston valve
ive tried making a pneumatic just like this but the break barrel proved too time consuming for me and i didn't test to see how the power and efficiency was with having two barrels

BBs. I am using drilled out shotgun shells and wadding them inside because it creates a perfect fit. I may just use two 1/2" barrels and make it a muzzle loading pirate cannon... I will try a qev, wish me luck! Oh and also, not the gun for this thread, but I am starting my own cloud bbmg, gonna be huge and have a huge rate of fire (5 barrels >.>)
