I wouldn't let it out of my hand on a wargaming field ;)

Updated again, with grip, sling, and stencils. I call this one finished now. It may just be the only thing I've made that I consider finished.

It's got that rocket launcher/recoilless rifle look now, and is almost game ready, it just needs a portable fill source. It should be impressive if not effective in game, and I can't wait for a chance to use it.

Ah! Now it looks perfect! 8)
What about this video shooting... (DVD or VHS, both make good targets) :D

Video will have to wait, as it just got dark outside here. I could try making one tomorrow. Don't be expecting to much in the way of damage though, it's a 3/4in. valve with a 2in. barrel, and fires mainly nerfs.

I'm kind of worried about using shooting videos as targets...they might shoot back!

[EDIT] Maybe I was wrong about the damage...
I just put a nerf through corrugated cardboard at ~50ft.
Note to self: 80psi is too much for airsoft

The problem with using a pocket nerf in airsoft is if you want it to go fast it will hurt like hell, but if you want it not to hurt, it is too easy to dodge :D

Exactly why my alternate ammo will be a giant shotgun style round. Try dodging a cloud of a few hundred BB's

It is kind of "scale", have a look at the M67 90mm Recoilless Rifle.

The M590 cartridge is designed for close-in defense against massed attacks on personnel positions. WARNING: Canister may not be fired overhead of friendly troops.

* The cartridge consists of an aluminum cartridge case crimped to an aluminum canister filled with 2,400 steel flechettes. The cartridge case is unperforated and the base contains a rupture disk. A percussion primer is assembled through the rupture disk into a perforated flash tube that is threaded into the base of the canister.
* The flechettes are 8 grain (0.52 g), low-drag, fin-stabilized, steel-wire projectiles.
* The cartridge case is filled with double-base propellant in a silk bag arranged around the primer tube.
* The canister projectile has a blunt forward end and a heavy aluminum base with three bleed holes to the cartridge case. The sides are scored to facilitate splitting when the round is fired.

The primer ignites the propellant when struck by the firing pin of the weapon. The burning propellant generates rapidly expanding gases to propel the canister out of the barrel. Recoil is minimized by blowout of the rupture disk in the base and controlled pressure release through apertures in the breechblock. At the same time, the bleed holes in the canister base permit gas pressure to build up inside the canister.

When the projectile leaves the muzzle, the pressure ruptures the canister along the score marks to release the flechettes.

Updated with video. Short, and boring video, but shooting video nonetheless.

It's all in the first post. Chamber and barrel are 2x18", and the valve itself is the only part sleeved inside 3" pipe.
