our arena has bases off the ground and i wanted a long-distance weapon that doesnt have to fire fast. just enough to hit the other base. hauling a generator and compressor around gets troublesome so i wanted c02. for close combat i resort to small arms for rapid and acurate firing. will a remote hose control pressure enough? or do i have to get a regulator of some sort? im not trying to kill myself or others so any input about integrating co2 properly would help.

ok, im just going to say this before spudshot gets to it. U NEVER EVER USE A HOME MADE GUN IN A PAINTBALL FIGHT, the only exception to this rule is a mortar type weapon that lobs a bunch of paint balls UP and then they rain down with much less force. the guns that we make usually shoot faster then 300fps which will break helmets and ribs. got it.

cant u tone a gun down? i would feel feel pretty crappy if i seriously hurt someone. i dont expect that there will be any need for speeds in that range. i dont really have much pneumatic experience (obviously)

its not just the fps, paintball guns have way to many unknown factors we cant control, factories have tons or regulations their guns have to meet, they use presicion tools and machines, we use solvent irrigation valves and plumbing pipe. useing one of our guns in a fight is a very bad idea, not to mention the arena will most likely not even let u use it anyway

they're the same thing, PSI is pounds per square inch which is the same as pressure

a paintball gun normally doesnt regulate the pressure, becuase they are made to run on the pressure of a co2 tank, higher end guns run on lower pressure, to conserve gas and such.

well, the higher end ones running on a lower pressure use a regulator, thats all

yeah... where did i go wrong? i almost blew myself up w/ a 20 oz co2 cylinder...i need a regulator dont i? there too damn expensive

yeah, 800 PSI going into a piece of PVC doesnt make for a good day

too damn expensive, and needed, i just ordered a palmer stablizer/reg for 100 bucks. get one, and then there will be a lot of oppertunitys waiting, i got 5 projects planned for that.
