has anyone tryed Araldite Self Mixing Epoxy

it come with 2 nozzles that spiral together and as the part A and B go down they aprently mix, idk if its enough though. i got some at bunnings it was opened but all parts are still there they retail for $15 i got it for $4 ahaha.

I wouldn't call it a "breakthrough", though by cutting out the mixing part it might be more appealing to those who find it inconvenient.

One thing I would worry about is cleaning the nozzle after use...

JSR might like that. It looks like the same single use mixing nozzle use on 2 part expanding foam.


The only thing new is the inlet is made to fit the siamese epoxy syringe.

@JSR, the nozzle is single use like a paper cup. You don't clean them for re-use. You can buy packages of just the nozzle. Look them up online.

yeah it is a single use but im sure i could clean it out. im just about to try it out.

They've had these I France for years. Quite wasteful on such small tubes of araldite, I tend to use less than the volume of the mixer at one time.

I don't even like the siamese syringes much, one nozzle always ends up clogging up slightly and letting out less flow, then you have to try and push the plunger at an angle

hahah that's cool it would be very handy since you can pour it straight out into a mould or something instead of mixing it then pouring it into a mould

I tryed it, it mixes great lucky because i only had about 5mm gap to pour the epoxy though but you loose a lot in the nozzles like al-xg said.

Thought its handy for some of the odd castes we need. I tryed to clean out the nozzles but there's no chance, the epoxy was only in the tube for 1min and its 13*c in the shed where i cased, i tryed to warm up the epoxy then use the compressor to blow it out but it wasn't going anywhere.

use jb weld, ok people say it is a metal epoxy but you can use it on anything, works best out of any other epoxy out there

Doesn't adhere to plastic very well. Syringe epoxy sticks to plastic and metal whereas JB barely sticks to plastic and very strong to metal.

you must clean the surface and they make a plastic jb weld, Im using it to clog a hole on my gun right now, ive had my air gun up to 150 psi no leaks

lol i use araldite and its held 600 psi, i think jsr uses it sometimes one his hybrid and they have with held 28x mixs

id say 2-3ml that's a lot when you only get 24 ml in the syringe
