Do you have a hack saw? If so, use it on the inlet, and cut off about 2 inch's down. That may help.

Never use a hacksaw on the lines for a refrigeration compressor. It makes metal shavings. Use a tubing cutter instead. It is the industry standard.

I have seriously seen so many people asking this question lately. I have to be honest, sometimes it's more economically efficient to just purchase a new dehumidifier. Without paying too much, I might look online if I were you. I do know that there is a website called www.dehumidifierexperts.com and they sell them. One of my partners just had to get a new one, that how I knew of the place. Hopefully this helps if you haven't already figured out the compressor.

I am not a spambot. That's ridiculous! haha. I was just trying to offer some advice on the dehumidifier. Geesh.

I guess we stand corrected. The "attempt" to sell a complete dehumidifier instead of suggesting scrounging a compressor from an old appliance just looked like a bot to promote a sales website. Be careful on how you word any links to resources so it does not get taken as a spam post.

I sometimes will link to a sales site, but very rarely.
