The bolt is what controls the bb feeding.

no, the spring assembly can be taken out of the bolt housing, which feeds the bb's.Gun Freak wrote:Take out the spring assy, take out the bolt.

Like I said, blow forward bolt and you should be able to change it out with the spring assy if you want.

What? All I am doing is taking out the spring and piston, and attaching a QEV this the nozzle on the inside of where the spring, and piston used to be, EVERYTHING else on the gun will stay the SAME. not blow forward bolts.warhead052 wrote:Like I said, blow forward bolt and you should be able to change it out with the spring assy if you want.
Did you read the post that I sent to Wyz?

QEV won't fit where you are proposing. Maybe you could feed a hose or a small fitting to the barrel.

again, that's not what I'm doing, I am simply utilizing the internals already found inside of the sniper rifle, I am just replacing the spring powered piston with a large-ish chamber, a 3 way valve, and a QEVwarhead052 wrote:sigh... A 1/8" QEV should suffice for airsoft, and even with compressor (roughly 150 psi) pressures, your chamber might be a little too big. If this is for skirmishing, what you want is consistency and efficiency, so ramping up the power excessively will only waste precious gas.

Again, this is a bolt action sniper rifle, made for one shot, one "kill," I don't plan on spraying people with semi auto, but I do know a way to make it semi auto, but that will come later.... and since it is bolt action, the gas usage is at a minimum, and since I will be using low pressure (40-80 PSI) the large chamber should be fine. The large chamber also adds a nice weight to the gun.jackssmirkingrevenge wrote:Should be the Sherline logocammyd32 wrote:*shines epoxy tub silhouette into the cloudy night sky*

Evan, I highly suggest you look at the blow forward bolt. The QEV idea has little potential, trust me, I have tried. If you really want it to work, you will have to design a gun around the inner workings.

THAT'S WHAT I'M DOING!! I'm just utilizing the mechanics INSIDE of the gun in order to have a reliable loading system!!warhead052 wrote:Evan, I highly suggest you look at the blow forward bolt. Ok... Well have fun figuring out how to pull the bolt back along with a qev and chamber and trigger and the list continues...
