That is a plain combustion cannon. If you made it hybrid then you could easily break the speed of sound as Mr.Crowley has(although supersonic lemons are scary enough)
You would need to make the cannon from steel to do that. Other wise you just have a bunch of PVC embedded in your face. That would suck.
Sarcasm is the body's natural defense against stupid.

12oz soda can with cement at supersonic speed, sounds overpowered like the real flak gun :D but if it was hybrid it would need a metal barrel which couldd cost a ton

a hybrid is basically a high pressure burst disc combustion but instead of igniting the fuel in air it ignites in compressed air in various mixes :D

Hybrid sounds like much more fun but at a much higher cost unless the barrel can be a low cost metal or thick PVC

I think you could make it much more realistic if you go pneumatic. Combustion might work too.

i think you could get a pressure rated pvc pipe like 300psi or something and slap on about 1 inch of fiberglass?

Here's my rough sketch, very hard to see because my scanner doesn't want to work for me.(my new first target)

just gotta figure out how i can get a recoil system in there and then I can start mapping out sizes, and begin making this beast.

That hybrid I mentioned uses a abs barrel
Hybrid or combustion will make a much more realistic shot that a pneumatic (Hybrid sounds better than a combustion  ) and it´s not expensive, with a 10x hybrid you don´t need a large chamber, if you buy iron fittings that won´t cost you more than 30$, than you can use pvc to better the look :)

If I fitted a 3" sch 80 pipe with fiberglass cloth and surrounded that with a EMT (electric metal tube) pipe would that be strong enough for a barrel, as I can only find 2" galvanized pipe as of right now, and soda cans require a 3". I know combustion use a 1:(.08-1.5) ratio but what would a hybrid require, if its less it might suit this better instead of hiding a huge combustion chamber.

I don't know the ratio of a hybrid, as it depends the mix, but in principle it requires less chamber volume than a combustion with the same power
