I made one out of 2 inch pipe. It has a 1/2 inch pipe spear and there were 4 pieces of tubing thet wint inside and were held with a hook. You then dropped in the spear and let the hook go. . The spear went pretty streight and you can even add fins to give it spin. it went ~ 100 yards. the spear was 12" long and the 2" pipe was 5' long.

Thats cool. I have one planned out and i need are the pulleys and steel bar. I will be shooting a bow fishing arrow and if it turns out nice i'll post it on here. I have been looking at real ones and this is a poor mans version. If its at all accurate i'll some sights and use it for real.

I will have the rubber tubes permnetly placed in one area on my stock and from there to the front of the stock through a pully and is then connected to light cable and then guided to the trigger mechinism and when realeased it would be guided through a slit in the hollow steel bar. Oh and a quich question. Does any one know how to cut steel bar striat down the middle without forming burrs. I have acces to welders, angle grinders, chop saws ect...
