I think SF has been an incredible learning tool for everyone... People take old ideas, then put new twists on them or take them to the x-treme
when people get inspired, they invent completely new ideas of their own!

I'd really really like to see a picture of the 1st spud cannon that used a sprinkler valve, wouldn't that be cool to look at (even shoot).

"20 years ago" Interesting spud cannon history...

Isn't there a copy of the old SpudTech forums still around? Be interesting to see if there were sprinkler valve canons when it started.

Jrrdw, do the pictures work for you in the archives? They don't seem to work for me.

I think I know who has progressed quite a bit, dunno how much he knew before hand, but pneumaticcannons has a hybrid (while it may be less safe than mine) and his first post was not all that long ago.

I honestly didn't know much about spud guns before joining. I had made a soda bottle ball valve but thats pretty much it.

No, I think PCGUY had to disable links to keep people from posting there. If you paste the link in your browser you might be able to see them if they are still hosted, but I haven't tried it myself, pot luck on that...
