which epoxy do you use?

hey im making a new co ax and im going to have to use epoxy. my experiences with epoxy in the past have been bad so i was wondering what type you guys use that is sturdy and strong (and obviously air tight). in the past ive used Loctite Heavy duty epoxy which sucked and ive used plastics epoxy which worked out alright. it came in a little dual syringe thing. anyway what do you use? and how can i get it?

jb weld has always been my favorite!!!!!! And you can get it at any hardware store!!!

It depends on what application you're using it for. JB weld is good for bnding metals, not casting. Syringe is good for metals and plastics and small casting (penguns). The big containers are the best for casting.

I completely agree. Also, I hate JB weld. It's NEVER worked for me, even after following the directions, and mathematically measuring the two components, it STILL gives way. Use the cheap syringe 5 minute epoxy. It's awesome stuff!!

I've always had good results with JB weld when properly used. Even on plastic. I used some on a schrader valve in a modded sprinkler, and it was so hard to get out that I gave up and just left it in (I was taking it out because I thought the plastic was weak but apparently not, so I left it alone). It's all about application.

I made sure to follow ALL of the application instructions. I first tried it with old JB weld, and that didn't work. I then got new JB weld, and followed all of the directions, and measured out the proportions near PERFECTLY. It still didn't work. Then I tried the 5 minute syringe epoxy, and I jizzed in my pants. It was THAT good!!

To be honest, I just use random thai brands I just make sure It says 5 minute and all purpose. If I get lucky I find one that says "engineered in usa" lol
The only leak I've ever had with these epoxy's is on my pen gun

I measured two almost identical pieces of cardboard out on a scale, and then added the proper proportions. I just have bad luck with it.. it tends to crumble under VERY little stress, even after letting it cure for DAYS.

jb weld works on (almost) everything, your surface has to be clean!!!


i used it on my dad truck radiator when it had a leak, we drained it first cleaned it with alcohol, and put jb weld on it, if you mix equal portions of both tubes you will be fine and then we let it harden and no leaks!!!!!!


ive tryed 5 min expoxy, i didnt like it , thought it was trash
