His epoxy stash is going to reach its "expiration date", due to his new found capabilities!
You may have spoken too soon, apparently he has still thrown in some epoxy in there for good measure :)

As to marine epoxy, that might actually be true!

Araldite application is easier than o-ring grooves ;)
